From the royal platform, the First Prince, rumored to be on the verge of becoming Crown Prince, shouted loudly. His fiancée, Alexia, listened in silence.

The First Prince proceeded to list Alexia's misdeeds and improprieties, insult her appearance, and blame her. He must have swallowed whole and believed implicitly the accusations of Alexia's half-sister, whom he had called to his side.

Indeed, for five years since their engagement, she had never met the First Prince, nor exchanged letters or gifts with him. However, the truth was she "wasn't allowed to." It was all orchestrated by her stepmother, who had moved in after her mother's death, and her daughter, Alexia's half-sister. The First Prince seemed unaware that these things had been allowed to happen only because her father had permitted them.

Even the First Prince, whom she believed to be her only ally, was no longer on Alexia's side.

She had no allies left.

She owed allegiance to no one.

Then, let come what may.

Alexia subtly straightened her spine.

And the First Prince would be utterly astonished by her next action⸺!

◆There are many recent stories where you can tell a "doormat heroine" who's being oppressed just by looking, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon (lol).

◆Rated R15 as there are some subtle descriptions hinting at abuse.

◆The "comeuppance" (zamaa) happens in two stages, including the so-called "You reap what you sow" type.

◆Total 8 chapters, with only the final chapter being slightly longer. Romance appears in the latter half. The main course is the comeuppance, please enjoy.

◆Written in my spare time, so there are no proper nouns other than for the main characters. Please note that no specific country is set.
