One day, first-year high school student Yuzuru Takasegawa is forcefully urged into an arranged marriage by his grandfather, who insists on seeing a great-grandchild before he dies. However, Yuzuru, unwilling to take on the burden of an engagement as a mere first-year high school student, attempts to dodge the arranged meeting by presenting an absurd condition: "I might consider marriage if she's a fair-skinned, blonde, blue-eyed beautiful girl, etc."

But through some unknown connection, his grandfather apparently found a girl who met Yuzuru's conditions, forcing Yuzuru, against his will, to attend just one arranged meeting. On the day of the meeting, the person who appeared was none other than Arisa Yukishiro, the beautiful girl renowned at school. Upon hearing her story, it turned out she, too, had been unwillingly pressured into the arranged meeting. Therefore, the two decide to enter into a fake "engagement" to prevent any further marriage proposals.

And so, as they continue to play-act as fake lovers, before they know it, they realize their feelings are mutual and become a real couple.
