The narrative begins with the protagonist, a reclusive witch living in a lush forest mansion, enjoying a peaceful morning with her companion, Teto. Their idyllic life is supported by Beretta, a sentient service doll created from an ancient ruin, and other automatons who manage the estate and provide meals. The witch, who possesses the unique skill of "Creation Magic" bestowed upon her by a goddess named Liliel, has cultivated the surrounding wilderness from a barren wasteland into a thriving forest. This transformation was necessary after a magical civilization's unchecked advancement caused widespread devastation and disrupted the flow of magical energy, leading to frequent disasters. The witch has established a "Core Magic Stone" to regulate this energy, diverting surplus power for her own use.
A significant event occurs when an envoy from a neighboring nation arrives to report the impending change of their king. The witch prepares an "Elixir," a potent healing potion, by expending a substantial amount of magical energy (1 million mana per elixir) from her Core Magic Stone, which can store up to 10 million mana. This act highlights her ability to create powerful items using her unique skill. The forest she inhabits is not just her home; it's a sanctuary known as the "Forest of the Creation Witch," a refuge for persecuted races and endangered magical creatures, formerly called the "Wasteland of Nothingness."
The story then flashes back to the protagonist's transmigration. Having died without clear memory of her past life, she is offered a second chance by the goddess Liliel, with the condition that her continued existence benefits Liliel's world. To ensure her longevity, she is allowed to choose skills. She dedicates all her skill points to "Creation Magic," a skill that allows her to manifest objects by consuming mana. Upon arrival in the new world, she finds herself in a plain, inhabiting a young girl's body. Her initial mana pool is a meager 50. She experiments with her Creation Magic, creating a disposable "Flame Bullet Staff" for 40 mana, which allows her to cast fireballs. She learns that casting spells requires a staff and that the staff itself is a consumable item. Through battling slimes and leveling up, her mana capacity increases, and the mana cost for creating the staff decreases. After three days of survival, she reaches level 5 with approximately 100 mana.
Her survival is aided by her ability to create essential items like tents, water, and food. However, she discovers the existence of "Mysterious Fruits," similar to status-boosting items in RPGs. Consuming one, she experiences an increase in her maximum mana capacity, though it doesn't immediately restore mana. She decides to limit her consumption to one fruit per day to avoid monotony and to manage the mana depletion caused by creating such items. She also creates low-quality mana potions, which are inefficient but help her recover mana without the severe depletion of creating the Mysterious Fruit. After a month of survival, her mana reaches 1200, and she begins to focus on creating better equipment. She crafts a black robe with heat and cold resistance and a sturdy oak staff that enhances magic control and power.
She then dedicates herself to learning other magic skills. She creates a "Skill Orb: Staff Arts," which slightly improves her staff combat abilities, but she realizes that learning magic skills directly would be more beneficial for a witch. She then creates a "Skill Orb: Fire Magic," allowing her to cast fireballs independently. She discovers that her own magic offers customization, unlike the fixed output of the Flame Bullet Staff. She proceeds to learn Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Dark magic, which then integrate into a single skill: "Primal Magic" (level 1). This allows her to use a wider array of spells, including "Soil Manipulation" and "Plant Manipulation," which prove useful in making her temporary base more habitable.
