The year is 2010.

The world has significantly strayed from its 'original' history, morphing into an alternate reality, all thanks to the 'ES-ability users' who appeared at the close of World War II.

These 'ES-ability users,' beings who, despite being human, are also referred to as something more than human, were gradually increasing in number. Countries worldwide were discovering, training, and acquiring 'ES-ability users,' drastically shifting the global military balance.

Amidst this, there was one boy, ordinary in every respect save for his wish 'to fly in the sky'.

However, as his middle school life was drawing to a close, after taking the mandatory 'ES aptitude test,' he would deviate from the 'ordinary' path.

Chasing his dreams, meeting various people, sometimes laughing, sometimes clashing.

This is a story about Hirotaka Kawarasaki, a boy who was 'originally' destined to live an ordinary life in an ordinary world, and his journey through a world that has ceased to be ordinary.

*This is a modern fantasy in which the world, having initially followed real history, diverged into an alternate reality midway. I aim to portray it with a roughly equal mix of comedy and seriousness.
