The narrative follows Al, a young man living in Sils Village, who possesses an extraordinary affinity for farming and fishing. His days are spent tending to his fields and fishing with his friend Testa. Al's primary motivation is to become a "first-class farmer," a goal he pursues with unwavering dedication. He possesses a unique "Growth Boost" boon, which significantly accelerates his skill progression.
Chapter 3 begins with Al tending his farm, content with the progress of his crops. Testa arrives, summoning Al for their usual fishing trip. Al, though dedicated to farming, acknowledges his enjoyment of it. They board Testa's boat, powered by magic stones. During their fishing expedition, they encounter a monster, a "Crazy Shark." Al effortlessly defeats it with a single, incredibly powerful throw of his wooden spear, a skill he attributes to his "Harpoon Throwing" fishing skill. Testa is astonished by Al's power, noting that such force is far beyond normal for a fisherman, who would typically rely on basic magic for defense.
Upon reaching their fishing spot, Al dives into the sea while Testa deploys a net. Al discovers a school of fish but is interrupted by five more Crazy Sharks. He dispatches them with his "Secret Fisherman's Technique: Split Harpoon Throwing," which causes his spear to split into five, impaling each shark. Al finds the sharks' death cries disturbing.
After a successful haul, Testa inquires about Al's increased underwater duration. Al reveals he can now stay submerged for five hours, attributing it to his maxed-out fishing-related skills: Underwater Action, Fishing, and Free Diving, all at level 10. He also reveals his overall level is 24, and he has achieved level 10 in all farming skills except "Soil Cultivation," which is currently at level 9. He believes Soil Cultivation's experience requirement is higher. Al's status card shows impressive stats, including high Agility and an exceptionally high Luck stat of 85. Testa is amazed by Al's rapid growth and multiple maxed-out skills, especially considering his humble farmer status.
Al returns home and dedicates himself to Soil Cultivation, finally reaching level 10. This unlocks the "Nature Lover" skill, a culmination of all farming skills. This new skill grants him the ability to use all farming skills, receive "World's Favor" (extreme stat boosts), and integrate all farming skills. Upon integration, his stats skyrocket, with HP, MP, Attack, Defense, Magic, Magic Defense, and Agility increasing by approximately 1000 times. He decides to head to the capital, Meigis, to sell his vegetables.
On his journey, Al encounters a dragon. Using his enhanced abilities, he instantly kills it with a single "Harpoon Throwing" attack, barely registering the immense power boost he received. At the capital's gate, Al presents his status card as identification. He is then involved in an incident where a cloaked man attempts to kidnap a girl. Al intervenes, disarming and incapacitating the kidnapper with a "Testa-style Suplex," a move he learned from observing Testa. The rescued girl, revealed to be Princess Fal, thanks him. Al, eager to complete his vegetable delivery, rushes off, leaving Fal intrigued.
After a successful delivery, Al finds Fal waiting for him. He attempts to flee, but Fal, recognizing his voice, insists on speaking with him. She reveals her identity as the first princess of Meigis and expresses her desire for Al to work at the royal palace, citing his incredible strength, which easily defeated a kidnapper with a high average stat of 500 (compared to a commoner's 60). Al adamantly refuses, wanting to remain a farmer. Fal, however, is persistent and offers him access to royal palace fields.
Fal then reveals the kidnapper was a dangerous individual known as "Hermes," a former elite member of the old Demon King's army. She explains that Al's strength is far beyond that of a knight captain and that the royal family wants him. Al continues to refuse, but Fal is determined.
Later, Al is stopped by guards who are waiting for him on orders from the King. Fal arrives and reveals that Al's identity was discovered because the cloak he wore belonged to a former court magician who retired to Sils Village. The King, recognizing the cloak, deduced Al's location. Despite Al's protests, the King, influenced by Fal, offers him a position at the royal palace. Al, after much deliberation and a realization that he needs more experience beyond farming, agrees to go to the capital, but not to serve in the palace. He intends to become an adventurer. Fal, pleased, arranges for him to have a house in the capital and assigns him a personal guard, who she intends to keep quiet about Al's true identity. Al, realizing Fal's manipulative nature, accepts his fate.
Al settles into his new home in the capital and plans to join the Adventurer's Guild. He is surprised by his rapidly increasing stats and the acquisition of new skills like "Heal" and "High-Speed Movement." He learns that Fal has ensured his identity remains secret from the King, but she intends to keep him close, aiming for him to be her personal bodyguard. The story concludes with Al preparing to embark on his new life as an adventurer, with Fal determined to keep him by her side.
