Princess Alfina delivers an ominous prophecy to a kingdom basking in peace. However, the words of a princess, despised for her lineage of rebels, are ignored.

The protagonist, Ricardo, reincarnated from an economics graduate student to a peddler's child, struggles against the obstruction of powerful merchants in this class-based society. Even at the academy he entered seeking information, he quickly earned animosity.

It was Alfina who shielded such a Ricardo. Ricardo tries to prioritize his own safety, thinking, "I won't get close to someone as volatile as a princess." However, his childhood friend laments that he's "easy to manipulate for someone who fancies himself a strategist," and he gets drawn into the princess's prophecy.

"Plausibility isn't the problem. What's important is how to collect data that can verify the success or failure of a hypothesis."

Against a prophecy that only shows the aftermath of a disaster, not its true nature, Ricardo unravels it by applying concepts of modern knowledge to the magical calamity.
