Dungeon for Familiars, Dungeon for Cores

Description

The three-volume print edition of "The Otherworld Dungeon Created with My Familiars" is now available.

The two-volume comic adaptation is currently on sale from Square Enix.

By a strange twist of fate, the protagonist discovers a gate to another world in his own apartment. Driven by curiosity, he steps through it, arriving in an otherworldly cave. There, he finds small, dying animals (not the fluffy kind) and extends a helping hand. Before he knows it, the protagonist realizes he has somehow become a Dungeon Master (?), and he struggles alone to protect his unobtrusive and peaceful shut-in life with the small animals who have become his familiars. However, the protagonist's actions, as an anomaly in this world, begin to affect things in ways he never anticipated. Ultimately, he somehow finds himself masterminding a conspiracy to bring down a nation. So much for his plans for a reclusive life!

The kingdom's leaders and other powerful figures are thrown into confusion, misinterpreting the protagonist's uninhibited or ill-considered actions. The protagonist, in turn, is baffled by the reactions of these powerful figures. The spiral of misunderstandings and mistaken assumptions spun by both sides sends the history of this world spiraling in an entirely unexpected direction.

The protagonist tries to avoid human interaction as much as possible.

The Dungeon Core makes its appearance a bit later.

Each chapter is generally short.

R15 and graphic depictions are included as a precaution.

While the story of the print edition is fundamentally the same as the web version, two new female characters have been added. For cover illustrations and detailed information, please see the activity reports.

Additionally, the comic adaptation generally follows the story of the print edition, but some changes have been made to the plot progression and other elements.
