When protagonist Theodore was pushed into a waterway by his half-brothers and came to, memories of his previous life suddenly resurfaced. However, these past-life memories belonged to a Japanese man named Kirishima Kagehisa, and they revealed that Kagehisa had "created Theodore as his own character in the VRMMO *Break Force Online*." Theodore realizes that he now possesses numerous combat magic spells and techniques that Kagehisa had acquired within BFO. After easily dealing with his half-brothers, Theodore sets off for the border city of Termwill, where a great labyrinth exists, in order to carve out his own place in the world.
