My first serialized novel.

Masato Tanaka, an ordinary man living an ordinary life in human society. On the morning after he graduated high school, his family mysteriously vanished. The only clue left was ash on their beds, but the police investigation soon reached its limits, and the search was called off. Returning home from his nightly walks—a search he continued in his free time before bed—he finds a girl collapsed in front of his house.

Masato, unaware of her vampiric nature, suffers an arm injury from a pursuer who mistakes him for her guardian. Despite his wound, he grabs the girl's hand and flees, only to be overtaken and seemingly killed. However, he wakes up in a hospital room.

This is the story of Masato Tanaka, who knows nothing of vampire society, becoming the familiar of a vampire girl known as "The Original"—a being protected by humans—and thus being forced to live with her.
