Description
Amelia, the Marquis's daughter, has a fiancé, Muscar, who always prioritizes his childhood friend.
He proudly declares that he must support her because she is delicate.
With their wedding fast approaching, Amelia was anxious.
From choosing rings and deciding on outfits to all important discussions regarding their marriage, Muscar would leave whenever his childhood friend called.
After continuously witnessing such behavior from him, Amelia finally gave up on the idea of a married life with him.
However, when she formally requested the dissolution of their engagement and consulted Muscar's father, he asked for some time and put it on hold.
A month after she reluctantly agreed, Muscar's elder brother, Aaron, who had been away from home on an inspection abroad, returned and said this to Amelia:
"I promise I will make you happy. Please, marry me."
Amelia had always loved Aaron, but had given up on him, believing he had feelings for another woman. Faced with his confession, she could only nod, despite her bewilderment.
