Description
Were there Africans among Mito Komon's retainers? Surprisingly, it's historical fact.
In the late 17th century, the Mahi, a rare African tribe, were wiped out by slave raids.
Denbaba and Kanga, two young surviving Mahi hunters, had their unique abilities recognized and were taken to the Netherlands, then resold to a *kapitan* and brought to Japan.
Through Mito Mitsukuni, who had become interested in Black people in Edo, they would come to Mito.
However, Mitsukuni had a specific reason for taking an interest in them.
It was to put them aboard the "Kaifu-maru," a colossal ship built by the Mito domain, and send them to Ezochi (Hokkaido).
"Meet Haukase, elder of the Ishikari Ainu."
That was the secret mission entrusted to them.
The Kaifu-maru sailed straight north.
Heading into the depths of Ishikari, the two are captured by the Ainu for a crime they didn't commit.
The two were rescued by Irika and Emariya, two girls called "village outcasts."
Incited by the greedy Jiroza, the radical Samaikachi plots to eliminate Denbaba and the two girls.
Crisis after crisis assails the four!
The time for a decisive battle draws near.
Can Denbaba and Kanga fulfill their secret mission?
What fate awaits the girls whose lives are targeted?
Set in Mito and Hokkaido, astonishing African power explodes!
