Lilia, a Japanese otaku, finds herself reborn as a baby in a new world, quickly realizing she's been reincarnated. Named Lilia Carol, she is the cherished only daughter of a wealthy Marquis family; her mother, Iris, possesses beautiful silver hair and manages the territory, while her father, Guy, is a red-haired, handsome Knight Commander. Lilia's initial goal is to quickly learn to read and write to record the stories and games from her past life before her memories fade.
Early in her new life, Lilia discovers this world has magic when she observes her mother using it. Driven by her gamer's spirit, she begins secretly training her own magic from infancy. She develops a unique method of condensing and externalizing magic into a "magic block," a technique her parents later deem revolutionary and dangerous, instructing her to keep it secret. Alongside her magic training, Lilia rapidly masters reading and writing, devouring books in the family library.
By the age of three, Lilia's genius extends to territory management. Applying her past life's knowledge of farm games, she proposes innovative solutions to her mother for the southern territory's problems, specifically a bird-monster (Gagapo) infestation. This impresses Iris, who begins to view Lilia as a potential successor, involving her in administrative tasks. At five, Lilia has contracted with two high-ranking spirits: Yesra, a wind spirit, and Resra, a water dragon, both of whom take on small, shoulder-sized forms to stay by her side. She uses her unique magic and spirits to efficiently assist with territory affairs, such as flood prevention and bird-net installation, leading to increased prosperity.
Lilia's fifth birthday party is unexpectedly held at the royal palace, sparking her suspicion of a political marriage arrangement, a common trope in otome games she's familiar with. Her father, Guy, is fiercely protective of his "genius" daughter, even arguing with the King about her future. At the party, Lilia, maintaining a poised demeanor, introduces herself and her spirit companions to the royal family. However, the boisterous Second Prince's attempt to touch Resra leads to a commotion. Amidst the chaos, Lilia's composure shatters when she meets Elk von Luxel, the King's black-haired, bespectacled nephew. Instantly smitten, Lilia is overwhelmed by her feelings, and when Elk gently calls her name, she faints from sheer emotional overload.
From her parents' perspective, Lilia's rapid growth had been a source of both pride and anxiety, as they wished for her to retain her childhood. Witnessing Lilia's utterly flustered and lovestruck reaction to Elk, her mother, Iris, sees him as a potential "brake" on Lilia's accelerated development. Determined to secure this valuable individual for her daughter, Iris resolves to "catch" Elk, setting the stage for a new, unexpected chapter in Lilia's life.
