Kei, the heir to a farmer living in a rural town in the Haruto Marquisate, after graduating from elementary school and while moving to attend school in the provincial capital, was caught up in a battle between knights and monsters and realized he was a person reincarnated from another world. Having nearly died on that occasion, Kei continued to strive to utilize his knowledge from his previous life.

After graduating from the school in the provincial capital, Kei, who admired the dragon knight who had been his benefactor and joined the Dragon Knight Brigade (a civil service position), reunited with his benefactor and spent his days as a member of the Dragon Knight Brigade, utilizing the knowledge he had gained as a salaryman in his previous life (knowledge gleaned from business books).

There are no skills or cheats. There are no flashy nation-building cheats either. This is a story about individuals doing their best within their respective capacities while being at the mercy of organizational circumstances. A hero or demon lord might appear eventually, or they might not.
