In the Royal Capital of Glendia, the voice of a gatekeeper echoes.

This gatekeeper looked utterly ordinary.

Others barely remembered his face, and though he had come to the capital to change himself, he spent his days in obscurity.

One day, this gatekeeper warns a group of troublesome adventurers.

He takes the troublesome adventurers to the guardhouse, but they turn out to be children of nobles.

His superiors are threatened by them, and the gatekeeper is fired from his job.

No one lamented the departure of the gatekeeper, who had no choice but to leave the country.

Because he was just a gatekeeper.

And an utterly unremarkable one at that.

However, no one knew.

That the gatekeeper had been continuously hunting incredibly powerful monsters in the royal capital's sewers, becoming the strongest.

In fact, he himself was utterly oblivious to it.

The gatekeeper, completely unaware of his true strength, sets off on a journey to find work.

He gains a cute apprentice, is relied upon by others, and is bewildered by a series of events he believes are far beyond his humble station.

One misunderstanding begets another, and the gatekeeper continues to achieve great things, completely oblivious.
