Chapters 3 through 12 detail a Christmas party hosted by the protagonist, Hazuki, at his apartment, followed by a New Year's Eve spent with Yukimiya.
The chapter arc begins with Hazuki and his friend Junya waiting for Yukimiya and Kurotsuki to arrive for a Christmas party. Junya is extremely nervous, while Hazuki tries to keep things light. Yukimiya and Kurotsuki arrive, looking stunning and drawing the attention of everyone around them. Kurotsuki, in particular, is excited to be invited to Hazuki's home, playfully teasing him about potentially finding adult magazines, which Hazuki denies, noting Yukimiya's presence. Hazuki reveals he's invited them to his place because it's more affordable and allows for more noise, as his neighbor is away. He had also recently cleaned his apartment to remove any traces of Yukimiya's presence, as she often stays over.
Upon arriving at Hazuki's apartment, Kurotsuki and Junya are impressed by its spaciousness and cleanliness. Yukimiya, accustomed to the environment, immediately heads to the kitchen to offer coffee, demonstrating a familiarity that raises Kurotsuki's suspicions. Hazuki intervenes, taking over the coffee preparation to prevent Yukimiya from revealing too much about her frequent visits. The atmosphere begins to relax as Kurotsuki and Junya engage in lighthearted conversation, including teasing Hazuki about his supposed "delinquent" past and a nickname he apparently had in middle school.
The focus then shifts to the Christmas feast Hazuki prepared, which includes elaborate dishes like roast beef and shrimp cocktail. Both Kurotsuki and Junya are amazed by his culinary skills, and they enthusiastically devour the food. Yukimiya also expresses her appreciation, serving Hazuki his own food as a gesture of thanks for his efforts. After the meal, they proceed to a gift exchange. The gifts are distributed by drawing numbers, leading to a chain of exchanges: Hazuki receives a gift from Kurotsuki, Junya receives one from Hazuki, Yukimiya receives one from Junya, and Kurotsuki receives one from Yukimiya. Junya's gift to Yukimiya is an aromatherapy bath salt set, while Kurotsuki's gift to Hazuki is a stylish cashmere scarf with a dog embroidery, the expense of which surprises Hazuki. Junya's gift to Hazuki is a highly durable water bottle, and Yukimiya's gift to Kurotsuki is a designer wallet. Hazuki and Junya realize Yukimiya likely gave Kurotsuki the most expensive gift.
The party continues with conversation and games until around 8 PM, after which the guests depart. Hazuki walks Yukimiya and Kurotsuki to the station. As they part ways, Hazuki and Yukimiya find themselves alone. Under a streetlamp, Yukimiya unexpectedly gives Hazuki a personally wrapped gift as a thank-you for her care. Hazuki, in turn, gives Yukimiya a gift for her upcoming birthday. They exchange gifts and share a heartfelt moment, wishing each other a Merry Christmas.
The narrative then jumps to December 31st, New Year's Eve. Hazuki and Yukimiya spend the day together, cleaning, eating, and relaxing in a kotatsu. They reflect on their unusual relationship and the events of the past year. Yukimiya reveals that spending New Year's with someone like Hazuki is a novel experience for her, as her family life has been difficult. Hazuki reciprocates, admitting he never imagined his life would take such a creative turn. As midnight approaches, they acknowledge how much they've come to understand each other. Yukimiya confesses that her initial impression of Hazuki was terrible, but she's grateful their secret relationship developed with him. Hazuki, in turn, expresses similar feelings about Yukimiya. As the clock strikes midnight, they exchange New Year's greetings and resolve to study for their upcoming exams together.
