Synopsis

Philia, born into a generations-long lineage of Saintesses, was continuously told by her parents that she was merely earnest, without charm, and dull, and was subjected to a rigorous, Spartan-like education.

As a result, she became a prodigy, praised for possessing the greatest power among all previous Saintesses, and became engaged to Julius, the second prince of this country.

However, Julius fell in love at first sight with Mia, Philia's younger sister, whom he met at a party, and unilaterally annulled their engagement, declaring his desire to marry Mia.

On top of that, to ensure Mia wouldn't feel constrained by Philia's presence, he had arranged to offer Philia to a neighboring country without a Saintess, in exchange for gold and resources.

Philia, who had foreseen the increasing number of monsters and the impending misfortune, warned that it was dangerous, but Julius did not listen.

With her parents and the king also closing off her options, Philia was sold off to the neighboring country in what amounted to a partial exile.

By the time she was revered like a hero in the neighboring country, her homeland was on the verge of national collapse at the hands of monsters.
