Tyler's dual existence is complicated by the need to maintain secrecy. He uses modern conveniences like a "storage bag" (a magical item with near-infinite capacity) and modern food items discreetly. He befriends Anna, the innkeeper's daughter, and shares his modern food and cooking techniques, much to her delight. He also encounters Magus, a powerful warrior and his friend, who notices an unusual increase in monster activity. Magus suspects a powerful entity in the depths of the Garu Forest is driving the monsters towards Ira.
The situation escalates when Elza, the leader of the formidable "Valkyrie" party (a group of high-ranking female adventurers), confronts Tyler. She deduces he possesses a "storage bag" due to his unusual carrying habits and the lack of sound or strain when transporting goods. Elza and her party, needing to explore the dangerous depths of the Garu Forest, propose Tyler join them as a porter, leveraging his storage magic. Tyler, initially hesitant and wary of the danger, agrees, seeing it as an opportunity and a way to potentially eliminate those who know his secret.
As they venture into the Garu Forest, Tyler demonstrates his magical prowess, surprising the Valkyrie members, particularly Lul, a young mage who shares his analytical approach to magic.
