Valfrea, or Flare for short, is a boy who lives in the "Village of Sorcerers" located at the very edge of the world.
Flare, an orphan, lived peacefully while learning a martial art called "Juto-ryu"—a blend of sorcery and combat techniques—from Tuck, who served as both his parent and master.
However, this village of sorcerers harbored a great secret. The sorcerers were a clan who had for generations guarded the "Hell Gate," an entrance to Hell where infernal flames raged.
And once every hundred years, a sacrifice had to be offered to the Hell Gate.
Flare was chosen as the sacrifice.
Flare was burned alive as a sacrifice to the hellfire───.
"......Huh, I'm not dead?"
Without dying, he found himself in Hell, his body gone, only his soul remaining.
By some twist of fate, Flare absorbed the hellfire into his soul and exited the Hell Gate, only to find the outside world had drastically changed.
This is the story of Flare, a boy who harbors hellfire in his soul, as he journeys through the world and becomes embroiled in battles.
