His father absconded in the night, leaving behind a pile of debts.

Left all alone, the boy, Lukt Ochs, was about to be sold to a slave trader as payment for his father's debts. It was then that Melage of Kuroganeya, a "Lender," shouldered the debts and saved him.

Melage said to young Lukt:

"Become a <Hunter>."

And so, Lukt is now attending the Martial Arts Department of Notrebelle Academy, aiming to become a <Hunter>.

This is the story of a protagonist burdened with massive debts, who aims to conquer dungeons and completely repay them while still enrolled in the academy.
